Leather is a unique and sustainable natural product. Gmelich leather is made from European cattle hides (mainly from southern Germany) according to LWG standards (www.leatherworkinggroup.com). Our fully integrated tannery allows 100% control over the manufacturing process. 

Our leathers meet the usual standards in rail transport and guarantee high quality with excellent performance characteristics and unrivalled durability. 

In addition to passenger transport, our leathers are also used in the furniture and office furniture sector, as well as bags, clothing and accessories.
