As an innovative developer and manufacturer of aluminium sandwich elements, we have been producing very light but extremely rigid sandwich elements in Bavaria for over 40 years. Our products are used in transportation, construction and industrial applications. Thanks to the extensive portfolio, our products can be perfectly adapted to the requirements. Metawell® aluminium sandwich elements combine design, quality and functionality with economic efficiency and also make an important contribution to sustainability and energy efficiency thanks to the materials used and their processing. Metawell® lightweight components made of aluminium sandwich elements are convincing in the rail vehicle industry due to their versatility.

Since the mid-1980s they have been used worldwide in high-speed trains, passenger coaches, underground trains and trams. They combine low weight with high flexural strength and dimensional stability, meet the highest fire protection requirements and can be used for sound insulation. With their high-quality, coatable and printable surfaces the Metawell® aluminium sandwich elements can be adapted to the desired design. The easily formable Metawell® Aluflex also allows the realisation of curved lightweight components. In addition, complete systems can be supplied, e.g. with attachments, handles, holders and integrated heating.
